James Mervin Sattler passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the age of 88.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015,
at St. Thomas Chapel in Eunice
at 2:00 p.m. Fr. Wayne Duet will officiate.
Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Eunice.
James is survived by his wife, Lita Miller Sattler of Eunice;
three daughters, Melissa Sattler and husband
Gary Woodson of Baton Rouge, Susan S. Gianfala and husband Quinn of Church Point,
and Donna McRae and husband Mac of Atlanta ,GA;
two brothers, Lobert Sattler and wife Jesse of Kinder and Don Sattler of
Eunice; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Curry Sattler and Lydia Richard Sattler;
two sisters, Cecelia "Sis"Frey and Lois Babineaux;
three brothers, Philip Sattler, Kelly Sattler, and Richard Sattler.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015, at Quirk & Son Funeral
Home in Eunice from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
A Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. by Fr. Austin Leger.
The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Monday for visitation until the time of service.
