Died in Confederate service
Following information was taken from "And Were the Glory of Their Times", - Artillery, by Herbert O. Chambers III.
"Capt. Boyce enlisted in the "McBeth" South Carolina Artillery Battery on Sept. 13, 1861. He was a 34 year old Attorney and Single. He died in the General Military Hospital No. 4 of chronic dysentery in Wilmington, North Carolina on April 19, 1863. Thank you Tim Burgess"
