She passed away on September 24, 1915 at the Hillcrest Home in Sumner,Iowa.
Helen was confirmed in Bremer County and attended grade school in rural country schools.
She was married to Lloyd Avery of Sumner and they later divorced ,
she later married Larry Tank from Lima Springs. He passed away many years ago.
Helen was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Sumner and also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary which she was a "Gold Star" mother. She also belonged to many card clubs through out Sumner. She enjoyed her faith, friends and especially her family.
Helen was preceded in death by her Son, Allen Avery, her husband, her parents, her four brothers Albert, Lawrence, Walter and Robert and her four sisters Ruth, Mildred, Lydia and Marie.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, Sumner, IA. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Sumner.
