Born in Akron in 1933, he was a long time resident of Copley and Barberton. When his health allowed, he enjoyed fishing, camping, music, movies and witty puns with his large family.
He felt that he was an ordinary man living an ordinary life, but to those who knew him, his life was an extraordinary example of the power of love and faith.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, Denise; sons: Rev Joe, John (Jodie), Tony (Lee Ann), Paul (Holly), Ralph (Pam) and daughters: Karen Lasecki (Tony) and Mary Fisher (Don).
His grandchildren: Jessica, Blake, Brett, Delaney, Joely, Allie (Nolan), Niki, Kevin, Lily, Natalie, Alex, Megan, and Nico will also keep his memory alive.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 4, at 11am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Copley. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd., Copley on Thursday, Sept 3 from 5 to 8pm.
