Barbara Jean Sheeks, 81, passed away Sunday, September 6, 2015, surrounded by her family and friends. Barbara was born in June 25, 1934, to Paul and Mildred Hummel. She was a sustaining member of Junior League of Akron, St. Thomas Hospital Women's Board, Francesca Hall Board, Christ Child Society, Sanctuary Society, and 20 years service on the St. Sebastian Foundation Board. Barbara treasured her time working at the family business, S-Group, Inc., with her beloved husband, Paul, sons, and grandchildren for many years. Barbie was a fun, loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Paul and son Greg. She is survived by her sons Jeff (Cynthia) and Paul (Laura) Sheeks,III; sister Marybeth (Peter) Buonaiuto; brother Paul (Patti) Hummel; grandchildren Paige, Preston, Holden, Christopher, Steven, Robert, Andrew, Alyssa, Audrey Sheeks, Ashley, Lauren and Peter Buonaiuto and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 476 Mull Ave. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
