JAMES THOMAS HAMM was the oldest child born to Joseph C. Ham and Lavina (Vinnie) Ham. His parents spelled the surname with one "m" rather than two. There are conflicting records of his birth place, but most indicate it was Honey Grove, Texas, and this is what he indicated on his WWII registration form.

He married GENEVA E. PUCKETT. They had at least 7 children as indicated from federal census records. He was a farmer in Oklahoma for many years before moving to Colorado, probably in the early 1950s.
