Lana Cliffette Duckett Boyd, 60, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, at Sweetwater Hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of McMinn County, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Evalene Axley Duckett, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lynn Boyd, on May, 3, 1999.
She was a former employee of Sugar Shack and attended Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Tellico Plains.
Survivors include a son, Patrick Boyd of Niota; two grandchildren, Mason Lynn Boyd of Sweetwater, and Emma Grace Boyd of Sweetwater; and one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Don Trew of Niota.
Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Gerald Lynn officiating.
Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Old Fashioned Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Ashley "Pooh" Whitlock, Joseph Andrew Lowry, Trent Thompson, and Jonathan Walden.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Fellowship in honor of Lana Boyd will be held at the Sugar Shack Restaurant in Niota on Thursday beginning at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited.
