Otis “Fred” Miller Jr., age 59, of Huntington, died at 10:43 a.m. Sunday (September 20, 2015) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 - 6 p.m. Saturday (September 26, 2015) at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana.

Fred was born on January 16, 1956 in Hazard, Kentucky, the son of Otis Fred and Mildred Faye (Combs) Miller.

He worked at Gerdau of Huntington for 30 years and was an active member of the Huntington YMCA, where he loved to listen to all kinds of music while working out. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and watching autobiographies.

Survivors include a son - Jason Miller of Fort Wayne; two daughters - Shelley Miller of Huntington and Cristi Miller of Texas; a sister - Carol (Randell) Tackett of Huntington; a brother – Douglas (Nancy) Miller of Andrews; two granddaughters - Raylynn Eltzroth of Huntington and Landrie Miller of Texas; and a grandson - Kalen Miller of Fort Wayne.

His parents and a brother, John Bradley Miller, precede him in death.

Cremation: Half of his ashes buried with father in the Bradley Combs Cemetery. Half buried with Mother at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington, Indiana.
