In 1994, Roy and Martha (Marty) moved from Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Sheridan, Wyoming. He desired to return to his farming “roots” adopting a donkey, mowing hay, raising a few steers and heifers. He was passionate about things on wheels and spoiled his dogs rotten. The last 14 years of his life he worked as a bus driver for Sheridan School District #2.
Roy is survived by his wife, Martha; one daughter and two sons; Georgia, Lonnie (Bonnie), and Tom; 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his oldest grandson, Mark A. (Tony) Ellner.
A public Memorial is being held at Sunrise Assembly of God, 570 Marion Street, 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015; Pastor John Jackson officiating. Online condolences may be written at www.championfh.com. Arrangements have been entrusted with Champion Funeral Home.
