Mrs. Marion "Rachel" Creek, age 68, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, September 19, 2015.

Rachel was born on December 2, 1946 in South Pittsburgh, TN to loving parents, the late Mr. Benton Summers and Mrs. Ernestine Werner Summers. Rachel worked at the nursing home for many years and eventually worked for home healthcare. A Christian, Rachel was a member of New Georgia Baptist Church where she was actively involved in the Victory Sunday School class. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In addition, she enjoyed her grand dogs, Maggie and Dory.

In additions to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Summers and nephew, Larry Summers.

Rachel is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Mr. Bobby Creek of Dallas; 3 daughters, Mary Littlefield of Temple, Bobbie (Greg) Davis of Douglasville, and Tonya (Rodney) Smith of Dallas; 2 sons, Tommy Creek and Troy Creek both of Dallas; 13 grandchildren, Kirk (Farrah) Creek of Temple, Blake Creek and his fiancée Ashton Harrison of Temple, April (Jay) Lohmueller of Thomasville, GA, Nikki (Colby) Martin of Dallas, Ashley (Dylan) Harp of Aragon, Justin (Sherri) Whitaker of New Manchester, IN, Maddie Smith of Dallas, Lauren Phillips, Jessica Phillips, Megan Smith, Joseph Littlefield all of Temple, Tyler Meek and Haleigh Davis both of Douglasville; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Nickie (June) Summers of South Pittsburgh, TN, 3 sisters-in-law, Shirley Roex and Mary Stephens both of South Pittsburgh, TN and Everett (Virginia) Harvey of Ft. Oglethorpe. Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

The funeral service for Rachel Creek will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at New Georgia Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Stell and Rev. Jim Burdette officiating. Music will be provided by Madge Robinson. Prior to the service Rachel's body will lie in state from 1-2 PM and the service will begin in the old sanctuary at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Cemetery in Dallas, GA. Kirk Creek, Blake Creek, Jay Lohmueller, Colby Martin, Tyler Meek, Darryl Sweat, and Randy Abercrombie will serve as pallbearers. Joseph Littlefield and Mason Lohmueller will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 4-9 PM and on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 9 AM until Rachel is transported to the church at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to the New Georgia Baptist Church Building Fund.
