James E. McIntire, Age 86, entered into rest at 7:30 a.m. on August 30, 2015 at Floyd Memorial Hospital on New Albany, Indiana.
He was born January 19, 1929 in Greenwood Indiana.
On September 3, 1949 he married Dorothy (Boucher) McIntire.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy McIntire, one daughter, Joyce and husband William Sturgeon of Corydon, Indiana. Two sons, James and wife Claire McIntire of Palm Coast, Florida, Jack and wife Pam McIntire of Clarksville, Indiana. One sister, Barbara Webber of Bloomington, Indiana along with several grand and great grandchildren.
James was a retired manager for Farm Bureau Insurance in New Albany, Indiana. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to church and participating in church activities.
There will be private graveside services on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Central Barren Cemetery.
