Services will be held Saturday at 11a.m. at Nelson Chapel M.B. Church in Pope, Pastor Melvin Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held friday 10 a.m. - 6p.m. at Cooley's Mortuary. Burial will be in Nelson/Pope Chapel Cemetery. Cooley's Mortuary has charge.
Ellis, born July 20, 1936, in Pope, to the late George Ellis and Erma Green was a custodian for the Ohio School System (South Euclid).
Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret Ellis of Courtland; three sisters, Louise Gathright of L.A. California, Earlene Ellis of Pope and Tommie Ellis of Chicago; two brothers, George Ellis of Detroit and C.W. Ellis of Cleveland, Ohio; and one grandchild.
