Mabel Moore, age 82, of McDowell, KY, widow of Ed Ray Moore, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 in the Prestonsburg Health Care Center, Prestonsburg, KY. She was born February 18, 1933 in Price, KY, a daughter of the late George and Melissa Hall Bridgeman. Mabel was a homemaker and a member of the Gideon First Baptist Church in Michigan.
She is survived by nine children: six sons; Basel Ray Moore (Diane), Ricky Ed Moore, Ted Gregory Moore (Angie), Billy Joe Moore (Lindsay), Muril Dale Moore and John Sherman Moore all of McDowell, KY, three daughters; Sandra Kay Akers, McDowell, KY, Teresa Faye Hall, Wayland, KY and Julia Mae Moore, McDowell, KY., Two sisters; Lizzie Estep and Laqueti Watkins both of MI.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, James Profit Moore, and two sisters; Martha Butcher and Mary Patton.
Memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 in the Hall Funeral Home Chapel, Martin, KY, with Lester Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin 10:00 a.m. Friday morning under the kind and professional care of the Hall Funeral Home.
