Mr. Copeland born September 17, 1879, in Falls county.
Along with W. E. McMillen, he came to Ochiltree county and settled on a homestead in 1900. He farmed in the Farnsworth area for some time, operated a grocery store and then moved to Dumas 21 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia E. Copeland of Dumas; two sons, L. F. Copeland of Los Angeles, and E. J. Copeland of Spearman; three daughters, Mrs. George (Edith) King of Goodwell, Okla., Mrs. A. L. (Berlvyn) Bobbitt of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. V. R. (Addie Mae) Juarez of Dumas; two brothers, S. S. Copeland of Causey, N. M., and L. P. Copeland of New Orleans; three sisters, Mrs. J. D. Marvin of Pittsburg, Tex., Mrs. Florence Moore of Temple and Mrs. Fred Bock of Waco; 18 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
