Marilyn Elizabeth Patterson May, age 70 of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 8,2015 at her home. She was born May 8, 1945 in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Bruce and Margaret Patterson. Marilyn attended the Pine Street church of Christ and enjoyed sewing and knitting. She had formerly taught business at Laneburg High School and was a librarian for Ouachita Baptist University. Marilyn was preceded in death by her son, Sean Patrick May and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 2:00pm at Welch Funeral Home in Arkadelphia with Joe May and Roger Genung officiating. Interment will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 10 from 6-8pm at Welch Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, Southern Christian Home or the charity of your choice.
