FRANKLIN — Dana A. Young, 81, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2015, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, after a long battle against diabetes. He was born Nov. 1, 1933, in Sullivan, son of Eben and Nina Young. Dana served in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard for 20 years. He was a life member of the Franklin Vets Club.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Christina H. Young; son Dean A. Young; daughter-in-law Marijo Young; brother Edward Young and wife, Fannie; sister Sylvia Fint; stepbrother Irving Wilber; grandchildren Meaghan, Malorie, and McKenzie Young; Samantha and Thomas Clark; Chelsea and Michael Vollmer; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter Carol L. Young Clark; brother Bernard Young; stepsisters Leslie Randal and Natalie Hardison; both of his parents.

His graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at Sunnyside Cemetery, Eastbrook. A potluck gathering will follow at the Franklin Vets Club.
