Born July 9, 1917 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Albert W. and Ella Rhodes Beard.
She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ Church and retired from Yount glove in Newton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 sisters: Thelma Beard, Maggie Kiser, Ola Misenheimer, Shirley Langley, Edith Edwards and a brother Hollis Beard.
Survivors include: Husband of 55 Years: Clyde E. Fox a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ Church. The Rev. Merlin Batt will officiate and a private burial will be at a later time at Catawba memorial Park.
