Phyllis Meredith, age 82, of Toledo, died July 18, 2007, at St. Vincent-Mercy Medical Center. She was born July 22, 1924, in Toledo to Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Laetitia Clegg) Tucker. She was a 1942 graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of Christ the King Parish. Phyllis retired as the assistant personnel manager from the Lion Store. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, reading. She loved animals and was very creative and had a great sense of humor. While her daughter was a teacher, she enjoyed volunteering in her classroom. She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Nancy Meredith of Toledo; brother, Ed Pilzecker of Toledo; sisters, Peggy Tams of Toledo and Tish Price of Ida, MI; sisters-in-law, Jean Meredith and Betty Gurney, both of Toledo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Meredith in 1986. There will be no visitation. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Fr. Michael Brown, Celebrant. Burial, Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials in Phyllis' name may be directed to the Toledo Humane Society or Central Catholic High School.
