James K. Mason of near Bentonville, aged 57, prominent in Farm Bureau activities in the state and in Republican politics and for the past year president of the Indiana Rural Electrification Membership Corporation died Thursday at Buffalo, N.Y. Mr. Mason had gone to Buffalo to attend a National Farm Bureau conference. He suffered an attack of acute indigestion Wednesday night and died of a heart attack Thursday before members of the family could reach his bedside.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. CST Sunday at the Bentonville Christian Church of which he was a member. Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery. The body was taken to the home today and friends may call at any time. He was born on the farm near Bentonville where he has resided all his life.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Nellie Manlove Mason; three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Davis of Milton, Mrs. William McClure of near Bentonville and Mrs. Gail Maurer of west of Connersville; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Beeson of near Milton and Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Cambridge City; a brother, Clarence Mason of Economy; and two grandchildren.
