Samuel Lee Taylor, 89, went to be with his Lord on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the home of his son.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 11, 2022, in Evergreen Memory Gardens.

A native of Scott Co., Virginia and he had lived in Reidsville most of his life. Mr. Taylor was a retired pipefitter and attended Grace Fellowship at South Park. He enjoyed helping with the church stew, attending the men's fellowship, working puzzles, playing the lottery, and he loved children. Mr. Taylor was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was preceded in death by his wife; Julia Kernes Taylor.

Surviving are his sons; Richard Taylor and wife; Tammy of Reidsville and Michael Taylor of Wilkes Co., grandchildren; Amelia York (Zack), Emily Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Patrick Taylor, and Reece Taylor, great grandchildren; Oakley Miller, Opal Miller, and Elijah York.

The family would like to thank Sherry Frye, Tina King, Brenda Anderson, Aubrey Simpson, John Isley, Glenn Isley, Ashley Miller, and Reba Wyatt for their kindness and care during Mr. Taylor's illness.

The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00 PM Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his son: Richard Taylor
