Howard H. Bundy II was born in Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts on February 26, 1933 to Richard Jenness Bundy and Mildred Shuttleworth Bundy.

He spent most of his boyhood in Winter Park, Florida during the winters and at his beloved Camp in the Adirondack Mountains of New York during the summers. He graduated from the Deerfield Academy in Deerfield, Massachusetts and from the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. After finishing at VMI, Howard joined the United States Air Force as a 2nd Lieutenant and was stationed first in Harlingen, Texas and then in Charleston, South Carolina. While in Texas he met, and later married, Sally Kendall of Waco. Howard flew all over the world with the Military Air Transport system as a navigator and he loved his stint in the Air Force. He and Sally moved with Allis Chalmers, first to Milwaukee and then to Cleveland, where their children were born. He joined Consolidated Switchgear in 1968 and they all moved to New Orleans for a short while before settling in Beaumont, Texas a town he and his family were thrilled to call home for the rest of his life.

Howard was active in the Downtown Rotary where he was named a Paul Harris fellow and at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, where he served on the vestry and as Junior Warden. In his later years, he volunteered faithfully at the Tyrrell Historical Library, where he served on the Board, the Energy Museum, Some Other Place and the Treasure House. His favorite past time was the elaborate layout of his New York Central model trains. For years, friends with a like enthusiasm would join him on Tuesday nights to "play trains."

Howard is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandson, Reid Menzer.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Sally, and his three children, Kendall Menzer and her husband, Eric and their daughter, Frances, Benn Bundy and his wife, Dana and their sons, Gray and Dane and Jenness Ousley and her husband, Lance, and their son, Parkes and daughter, Evans.

His memorial service will be 2pm Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Saint Mark's Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont.

A reception will immediately follow in the Cloister at St. Mark's to greet the family.
