Mrs. Hopwood

Mrs. Frances M. Hopwood, 70, of 2610 Howett St., died at 6:45 a.m. today at her residence.

She was born in Peoria April 5, 1888, a daughter of David and Sophia Reitimeir Scannel and married Thomas Hopwood in Peoria April 16, 1906. he died in 1947.

Surviving are four sons, Joseph E., Robert J., Glen E. all of Peoria and Ralph E. of Peoria Heights. Five daughters; Mary Jennings, Virginia Bowden, Betty Lou Burdette of Peoria and Lois Hitt of Norman, Ok. Two sisters , Inez Weber of El Monte, Ca. and Ada Metts of Peoria. 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services willbe at 10 a.m., Saturday in St. Stephens Episcopal Church of which she was a member. The Rev. Thomas R. Hughes Jr. will officiate and burial will be at Pottstown cemetery.

Friends may call at the Wilton mortuary 1212 s. Adams betwwen 6-9 pm Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Stephens building fund.
