Marcia Ann Lane was born on Nov. 19, 1936, in Bloomington, the daughter of Alfred V. and Esther M. Alwes Lane. She married Kenneth Ford and together they had five children. She later married Theodore "Ted" Long on June 4, 1977.
Marcia is survived by her children, Janet (Tim) Clucas, Steve (Sheila) Ford, Debora (Chuck) Van Hoorn and Carol Ford; five grandchildren, Chad Hays, Renee (John) Goddard, Rebecca (Joel) Pabst, Jacob (Briana) Van Hoorn and Rachel Ford; two great-grandchildren, Stella and Gabriel Pabst; one brother, Richard (Jan) Lane, Lincoln; and one sister, Chris (Dale) Colaw, Atlanta; three stepchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, on Jan. 28, 2015; and one son, David Alan Ford.
Marcia retired from the Dixie Truckers Home where she worked as the control center manager. She was a member of the McLean United Methodist Church.
She was a lover of God's creation. You would often find her tending her garden. She found great joy in her friends and family. She and Ted had a unique love and her heart could only last four months to the day without him.
With four young children in tow, she still managed to volunteer as leader of 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, PTA and as a room mother for all. She sacrificed her ears, but rejoiced in her heart, as all her children played many musical instruments and mastered a few.
Burial will be in McLean cemetery.
