THEODORE H. HANSON HOBART, IN Theodore H. Hanson, age 83, of Hobart passed away on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Sebo Nursing Center. He was born March 6, 1929 in Duluth, MN to the late Herman and Bertina (Johnson) Hanson. On January 17, 1955 in Harvey, IL, he married Rosalin M. Switzer. Theodore retired from Genesco, Inc. in 1991 with 40 years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Hammond McKinley Lodge. He was also a member of the Orak Shrine Temple in Michigan City. Theodore was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Theodore is survived by three sons: Ted P. (Barb) Hanson of Kewanna, Finis "Skip" (Janet Ingle) Hanson of Hobart, and Jay L. (Susan Kilbourn) Hanson of Hammond; two daughters: Jennifer (Jack) Lewis of Portage and Rosie (Tom) Buckmaster of Portage; Lin Hanson of Hobart; 15 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death on November 12, 2002 by his loving wife, Rosalin (Nee Switzer) Hanson; as well as his parents: Herman and Bertina Hanson; a grandson, Jeffrey Hanson; his father-in-law, William Switzer, mother-in-law, Agnes Hooper; and two sisters: Tillie and Jeanette. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday January 7, 2013 at the Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel 600 W. Old Ridge Road with Rev. Gary S. Nagy officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, Hobart Chapel.
