Obituary

Bruce Robert McCain was born in San Diego California on March 3, 1955 to James and Lou (Woodall) McCain. He passed away on May 18, 2015 at his home in Portland Oregon at the age of 60. Bruce was a very active sports enthusiast who followed numerous teams including the San Diego Aztecs and the Oregon State Beavers. Throughout his life his love of sports transcended that of your average fan. Bruce was very involved in youth coaching and even worked as a reporter for Oregon Prep Sports.

He was known as a HAM radio enthusiast, a Pro Am photographer and could possibly be Costco's # 1 fan; weekly shopping trips were a must for Bruce and family. Bruce also had a soft spot for animals; at the time of his passing he had two dogs Heidi & Kyra and a cockatoo named Angel. Bruce was Chair of the Reynolds School Board and a retired Captain of the Multnomah County Sherriff's Department. He was very active in local conservative politics and has worked as an attorney for the last 24 years; known for his eidetic memory and quick wit. He will be remembered well and missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathy McCain; his daughters Kelly (Luke) Martin, Stephanie (Trevor) Tyler and Rachel (Jordan) Heller; Grandchildren Elsa and Owen.

A memorial Service will held at 5:30pm on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Reynolds High School Performing Arts Building with a small reception to follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made in his memory to the Bruce McCain Memorial/ Scholarship Fund at
