Stella Jean Golden Parker Grissom age 80 of McMinnville, Tennessee (Wayside Community) passed from life Friday, September 18, 2015, in McMinnville. Stella Jean was born on December 10, 1934, was retired as a factory worker and school system employee. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ. She was a wonderful wife, an amazing mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family and a dear friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alaska Elcana and Josie Estella Pryor Golden,
husbands J. D. Parker, Sr. and
Paul K. Grissom,
sisters Pauline Gribble,
Henrietta Patton Mabrey, and Doris Whitlock, and brothers Arthur Golden,
Hubert (Hoss) Golden, and Austin Golden.
Survivors include her daughter
Jennifer Stella Parker,
son John Douglas Parker, Jr.,
grandchildren Lacey Jean West and
John Douglas (Sarah) Parker, III,
great-grandchildren Noya and Iris Parker,
sisters Nelta Cantrell and Alice Cantrell, brother Edwin Golden,
step-daughter Gayle (Stacy) Caldwell.
Memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at the
Wayside Community Center.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home as family and friends will meet at Wayside Community Center for the memorial service.
