Mrs. Ruby Irene Easter Hull, age 85 of Cana, VA, passed away at Trinity Mission in Hillsville on Friday, September 18, 2015. Ruby was the eldest of eight children born on August 30, 1930 in Carroll County to Carnis Elmer and Celestie Rigney Easter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Ruby married her devoted husband, Albert Donald Hull on July 29, 1950. They had two sons, Ronnie E. Hull and Michael D. Hull (Patty) and five generations of six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. Ruby is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva Dowell, Arlene Gwynn, Josie and Richard Nichols and Louise and Larry Marsh; brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin "Pete" Easter, Alvin and Shelby Easter and Bennil and Patsy Easter. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 21, 2015 at Rocky Ford Christian Church by Rev. Mark Spencer. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home Monday from 12:30 until the time to leave for the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Joy Ranch Children's Home.
