February 3, 1887 - Storm Lake Pilot - At his home in Storm Lake, Sunday January 30, 1887, J.B.W. Ellis, aged about 37 years.

Bay was taken very sick with inflammation of the bowels last Thursday, Friday he seemed better, but only for a short time. His death occurred Sunday evening. He had been a citizen here about 6 years. A wife and infant child survive him.
