William P. "Whitey" Cope, age 91, of Springboro, Ohio, died Thursday October 25, 2018 at Sycamore Medical Center.

He was born in Berea, Kentucky on May 23, 1927 to Jesse and Elizabeth (Miller) Cope.

Whitey served in the US Army during WW II, was a life time member of AMVETS, VFW, Russell McElfresh Post 149 of American Legion, and FOE. He was employed with the Teamsters for 42 years and Odessa for 20 years retiring in 2011.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eva F. Cope, second wife, Evalena Cope, son, Phillip Cope, son, Raymond Cope, son, Alan Cope, daughter, Gail Moore.

William is survived by his four sons, Lloyd (Shelby) Cope, Bill (Charlene) Cope, Chuck (Tina) Cope, Robert (Joy) Cope; five daughters, Janie (Gary) Lyall, Gloria Cope Combs, Marilyn (Bill) Michael, Tammy Mann, Kimberly (Brett) Land; numerous grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 11:00 am Tuesday October 30, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
