Obituary for Peggy Carroll
Mrs. Peggy Carroll went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 16, 2015.

Peggy was born on April 26, 1931 in Bridgeport, Texas to Wayne and Carmen (Gore) Knight. She grew up in Vera, Texas and then moved to Wichita Falls to attend business college, where she would then meet her loving husband, Raymond Carroll. Peggy and Raymond celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 11, 2015. Raymond served in the United States Army and their family was stationed in several locations including Germany, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. They ultimately settled in Lawton in 1975 with their son and daughter. Peggy was a devoted mother, wife, and a doting mammaw. She was a faithful servant to the Lord through her active service at Calvary Baptist Church. She loved running the church’s Clothes Closet and serving as a Sunday School Teacher. Peggy was known for her loving heart and for fiercely praying and lifting up those in need.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond, of the home; her daughter and son in law, Terri and Pat Hermann, of Lawton; her son and daughter in law, Scott and Lisa Carroll, of San Antonio, Texas; five granddaughters and spouses, Julie Hermann, Megan and Matt Bengs, Angela and Josh Flaugh, Courtney Hermann, and Sydney Carroll; and four great grandsons, Jackson Bengs, Cooper Flaugh, Rylan Bengs, and Levi Flaugh.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Carmen Knight; and her mother in law and father in law, Edna and Joe Carroll.

Funeral service for Peggy R. Carroll, 84 of Lawton will be at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with Mike Ellis, pastor officiating.

Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, Oklahoma, under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

There will be a special viewing and visitation for family and friends on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church at 715 SW "H" Ave., Lawton, Oklahoma 73501.
