Eunice died at her home at 336 Lombard Street, East. She had lived there for about 20 years with her husband, Morrison C. Athey.
Eunice was a strong supporter of women's suffrage and helped to win it's support in Idaho and was later given much credit by Susan B. Anthony.
Eunice also found herself an active member of the 'Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic" [GAR].
