MELISSA AMBER FREEMAN, 22, of Springfield, was released from her Earthly bonds on Sunday, September 13, 2015. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 10, 1993, the daughter of Timothy R. and Sharon D. (Howard) Freeman.
Melissa was a 2011 graduate of Emmanuel Christian Academy and Springfield/Clark Career Technical Center. She recently graduated from the Columbus College of Art and Design with a B.A. in Illustration.
She is survived by her parents of Springfield; a brother, Anthony M. Howard of Springfield; grandfather, Robert P. Freeman of Springfield; aunts and uncles, Jerome (Rose) Howard, James Howard, Tracey D. Henry, Angela (Keith) Stephens, Georgianna Henry, Martha (Ronnie) Hamilton, Gerald (Donna) Freeman, Roger (Terry) Freeman, Bonnie Freeman, Danny (Debbie) Freeman, Judy (Troy) Highfil, and Don Hammond; and many, many cousins including a special cousin, Shawana Henry. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Clottie and Frank Henry and Joan Freeman and an aunt, Sue Hammond.
A celebration of Melissa's life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday at Greater Grace Temple with Pastor Carla Peterson officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
