Robert J. Latta, 87, of Lincoln Highway, Everett, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at home. He was born on February 15, 1928 in Everett, Pennsylvania; a son of the late Marie Latta. In March of 1958 in Winchester, Virginia; he married Joyce L. (Henderson) Latta. She preceded him in death on May 23, 2011.

He was preceded in death by a sister: Shirley Washabaugh

Robert was a graduate of Everett Area High School Class of 1945.

Mr. Latta worked for the United States Postal Service for thirty-six years until his retirement in 1985.

Robert was a member of Everett United Methodist Church and attended the Liberty Independent Baptist Church.

He was a member of the Everett Masonic Lodge F.&A.M. No. 524, where he served as past worshipful master in 1963. He was also a member of the Altoona Jaffa Shrine.

Robert enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and reading his daily devotions
