WILLIAMSFIELD — Carol Ann Ray, age 74, of Williamsfield, Ohio, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at her home.
She was born August 20, 1941, in Grafton, W.Va., a daughter of Dwight L. and Loreda Pearl (Shaffer) Offutt.
Formerly of Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Ray was a long time Williamsfield resident. She was employed as a waitress and cook in area restaurants in Cleveland and Andover. She was very active in the PTO at Pymatuning Valley Schools as her children were growing up. She enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting; and also loved to go back and visit the mountains of West Virginia.
Mrs. Ray married Jay Robert Ray on August 23, 1958. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2013. She is also preceded by her parents; and her brother, Sonny Offutt.
She is survived by daughters, Patricia A. Hines of Eastlake, Ohio and Teresa L. (Dave) Allen of Williamsfield, Ohio; sons, Robert S. (Debra) Ray of Tampa, Fla. and Carl (Lynn) Ray of Richmond, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19th, at BAUMGARDNER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 134 Prospect St., Andover, Ohio, with Pastor Robert Gears officiating. Burial will follow in Williamsfield Center Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be Saturday, from 12 Noon until the time of Service, at the Funeral Home.
