WAINSCOTT Harold, "Cotton, Edward was born on September 7, 1924 in Cromwell, OK, to Casey and Pearl Wainscott. He was the third child of six children. In his early years he worked for the Public Service Dept in Weletta, OK; moving to the Oklahoma City area in the early 1960's. "Cotton worked as a carpenter until his retirement. In 1975 he married Frances Gillespie of Midwest City. Harold was given the name "Cotton in his early childhood, for the color of his hair. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, old western movies and gardening. "Cotton went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2005 and will be celebrating Christmas this year with his wife Frances; father Casey; mother Pearl Wainscott; brother George Wainscott; sisters Ann Wyle and Frances Wilson. He is survived by a step son; James Gillespie of Asher, OK; sisters; Geneva Hogue and Joan Brown of Del City; grandchildren; great- grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
