Delos Hunsinger well known man of this community died at the home of his daughter Mrs. Soloman Teetsel in Meshoppen Township Monday afternoon, April 2, 1934, age 78 years, last January 8. He has been in ill health for some months now. He had a stroke, then paralysis. He suffered a stroke the morning of his death. He was born in Forkston, PA. His wife who has been living in Binghamton survives him. There are four sons "Ted of Gouldsboro, Ivan, Cecil, and Clayton of Johnson City, New York. Three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Bennett and Mrs. Bradley of Binghamton, New York. Mrs. Soloman Teetsel of Meshoppen, PA. He had one sister Mrs. Cora Coker of Harveys Lake. He was buried in the Overfield Cemetery Meshoppen, PA.

Shown in 1880 census of Forkston, Wyoming Co., Pa. as age 26 with wife Ettie, age 21. In the 1900 census he is listed as Delos W., born Jan 1858 ?, in Washington Twp., Wyoming Co., Pa. (page 181A, sheet #7A & B) with his 2nd wife, Alice and children. -Married 8 years. In the 1910 census of Washington Twp., Wyoming Co., Pa. he is still listed with wife, alice. In the 1920 census of Union Twp., Broome Co., N.Y. he is not listed as living with his wife 2nd wife, Alice, and other children He was apparently separated. In 1930 census of Washington Twp., Wyoming Co., Pa. he is living with his daughter Mabel S. & Solomon Teetsel.

A petition of divorce was filed October 15, 1892
the decree granted January 9, 1893.
The couple was married at North Branch by Frank E Spalding Justice of the Peace July 24, 1882
The divorce was file for on the grounds of desertion because Delos had left in February 1893. Mary Hunsinger testified on January 5, 1893. They had 4 children, one was deceased. He was at that time living with Etta Hunsinger. Delos had said he had a right to marry me. (Etta is with him on 1880 census).
Etta was residing in Scotia, Sullivan County, PA. one year ago. Delos never got a divorce from her!
Orrin P Farr testified I married on 21 February 1877 Etta and Delos, at home of Orrin Burgess in Forkston Township., afterwards heard he was living with Mary Barber."
Truman Farr and James Estes were the witnesses, both 43 years old of Forkston, PA
