Myrle Velora Williams Thorpe, age 90, died July 28, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Born December 12, 1900, Ephraim, Utah, a daughter of Stephen Henry and Johanna Caroline Anderson Williams.

Married Anthony Hoyt Thorpe, September 10, 1919 in Salt Lake City, Utah; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He died September 6, 1975.

Member LDS church and resided many years in the Bonneville Ward. Served as teacher in the Sunday School, Primary, and MIA; counselor and secretary in Relief Society. Worked as a salesperson at both ZCMI and Auerbachs.

Her community activities included serving as President of Police Mutual Aid Auxiliary; President of Delta Phi Fraternity Mother's Club; Lion House guide; President of Salt Lake Mothers' Club and University of Utah Mother's Club; and Captain of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Donald H. and Carrell Thorpe; and a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Fred ''Lefty'' Bennett, all of Salt Lake City; seven grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Mrs. Evertt (Thelma) Williams. Preceded in death by three brothers: Kenneth, Ariel and Evertt Williams.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 12 Noon at the Larkin Mortuary Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
