Stanley “Stan” Ronald Crawford, 73, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away November 25th, 2014 peacefully at his home. Initial visitation will occur on Friday, November 28, 2014 from 6:00-8:00pm at Salem Funeral Home, 120 South Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. An additional opportunity for visitation will occur from 1:00-2:00pm immediately followed by a celebration of life service on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Freeman Street Baptist Church, 2311 Freeman Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27127 with Pastor Bob Whitaker officiating. The family asks that flowers be withheld. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services Inc, 3175 Maplewood Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
Stan was born December 17, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He served 4 years of active duty in the U.S. Air Force, 2 years in the Air Force Reserves and 2 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He also served in the NC American Legion Post 0055. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Patricia Crawford, sons Tom Crawford of Pennsylvania, Scott (Jo Anna) Crawford of North Carolina, daughter Pam (John) Toto of Florida, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
