Jeffrey Scott Rhodes, 61, of Bridgewater passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015.

Jeff was born in Rockingham County on June 8, 1954, and is the son of the late Stanley Everette Rhodes and his mother, who survives, Mary Frances Cromer Rhodes.

He worked for Showalter Building and Supplies for over twenty years and more recently had worked at Marshalls and James Madison University. He was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed the outdoors and looking for Indian artifacts such as arrowheads and tomahawks. He also was known to enjoy music and play the fiddle with friends.

In addition to his mother he is survived by a brother, Quentin A. Rhodes and his wife Peggy of Harrisonburg, two sisters, Roonie Rhodes, also of Harrisonburg and Shirley R. Yukich and her husband John and their children, Peter, Paul, Mary and Thomas all of Davidson, North Carolina, and a nephew Jason A. Rhodes and his wife Laura and their children, Miriam and Adam of Harrisonburg.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday August 26, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Weavers Cemetery in Harrisonburg. The pastor Jim Hall will officiate.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday August 25, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.
