Mr. James Harold Gladden, age 72, of Berry, died Wednesday, 16 Sep 2015 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, 20 Sep 2015 at 10:00 am at Norwood Chapel with Rev. Brent Smalley officiating. Burial will follow in the Berry Freewill Baptist Church Cemetary. The visitation will be Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Gladden was born 3 Mar 1943 in Fayette County, the son of the late James David Gladden and Lillie Kate Greggs Gladden. He was a resident of Berry most of his life. He started work with Roy Couch Chicken Co. and formerly worked in Chicago and 25 years at Arvin Automotive.

Mr. Gladden was preceded in death by his son, Edward Harold Gladden, his father, James David Gladden, his mother, Kate Gladden Rainwater, and step father, Thurman Rainwater.

Survivors include his wife, Nadene Fields Gladden of Berry; one daughter, Rebecca Gladden (Allen) Parks of Berry; one sister, Ann Galloway of Fayette; five grandchildren, Harley Parks, Aaron Fowler, Courtney Gladden, Megan Gladden and George Gladden.

Pallbearers will be Jason Fields, George Gladden, Mike Galloway, Stan Galloway, Gregg Galloway and John Galloway.

The family requests no live flowers.
