She enjoyed traveling and fishing, crocheting, jewelry making, and genealogy.∼Barbara Carol (Swafford) Tennison passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015, at age 70 in Tracy after a short illness. Born May 2, 1945, in El Dorado KS to Clyde and Dena (Truitt) Swafford, she was the third of five children. She lived in San Jose for several years before settling in Tracy in the mid-1970s.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 38 years, Everett Capps; daughter Korina (Alan Hale) Johnson; stepdaughter Susan (Doug) Gonsolis; stepsons Bob (Ruth) Capps and Gary Capps; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; siblings Ruth Pyatt, Dale (Janis) Swafford, Billie (Randy) Unkel, and sister-in-law Barbara Swafford.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack Swafford, and her brother-in-law Clifford Pyatt.
Relatives and friends are welcome to gather at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 17, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Avenue, Tracy; followed by graveside services at 11 a.m. at Tracy Public Cemetery.
