GW” Karstetter, age 84 passed away September 13th at his residence in Show Low, Arizona surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born May 22, 1931 in Higley, Arizona to Fay and Ruth Karstetter.
He attended school in Buckeye. Just out of high school he married Wanda Martin, they made their home in Buckeye where they raised 4 children. He was a custom famer in Buckeye and the surrounding area. GW was a member of the Acacia Masonic Lodge in Avondale, Arizona. In 1989 GW met and married Faye.
In 2000 GW retired from farming and moved to Show Low where he enjoyed gardening and barbequing with family and friends. He will be missed for his smile, jokes and funny sayings.
He is survived by his wife Faye, sons Wayne, Martin, Wesley (Kelly), daughter Cysie, sisters Katy Bruehl and Ruthie Wood stepchildren, many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Karen Rathbun, brothers and sisters Al Karstetter, Wilbur Katstetter Verna Karstetter Martin and Gean Campbell.
A grave side service will be held a Show Low Cemetery Saturday September 19th at 1:30, followed by a celebration of life at the family home located at 340 south 15th Drive in Show Low.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Hospice Compassus of the White Mountains, 1789 West Commerce Drive, Lakeside, Arizona 85925.
