Rosemary Hope Robinson, 80, of Bonita Springs, FL, died Thursday, August 27, 2015. Formerly of Simsbury, CT, she moved to Florida in 1982, living in Sanibel, Ft. Myers and most recently, Bonita Springs. She was born September 16, 1934 in Bridgeport, CT, the daughter of J. William and Mildred C. (née Donnelly) Hope.
Rosemary grew up in Fairfield Connecticut. She was a graduate of Unquowa School in Fairfield CT, Covenant of the Sacred Heart in Greenwich CT, and Marymount College in Tarrytown NY. Her favorite summers were as a young mother spent on Fairfield Beach with her daughters, sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her love of the beach brought her and her husband, Leo of 28 years to Sanibel Island, Florida in 1982, where she was a real estate professional for 25 years.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by her loving daughters, MaryLynn (David) Shepherd of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, Rosemary “Kim” (Michael) McDonnell of Burlington, CT, Hope A. Zicari of Rochester, NY, Amy Sanislo of Bonita Springs; stepdaughter, Pamela Robinson of Kittery, ME; her sister, Justine Hope Dunn of Trumbull, CT; and seven cherished grandchildren, Alicia Hope, James “Chip”, Chelsea, Katelyn, Scott, Geoffrey and Isabella Hope; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Leo F. Robinson and her sister, Patricia Forbes.
There will be a private service at St. Isabel Catholic Church on Sanibel Island, Florida at a future date.
