Robert “Bob” Stott, 68, died Friday evening, October 11, 2013 at OSF Saint James – John W. Albrecht Medical
Center in Pontiac.
Bob was the son of Thomas and Eve (Boutet) Stott. He was born and raised in Morris. He graduated from Morris
Community High School with the class of 1964. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor
Company, the City of Morris, John Martin Steele VFW Post 294 and the U.S. Postal Service.
He maintained a lively interest in reading, writing and the art of conversation. He wrote dozens of short stories.
He is survived by two brothers, Thomas (Phyllis) Stott and Roland (Jane) Stott both of Morris; one sister, Ellen Allen
of Missouri; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Bell of Morris; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Caroline Bell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 18, at the Fruland Funeral Home, 121 W. Jefferson St., in
Morris (3 blocks west of Rt. 47). Rev. Edward J. Howe, CR will officiate. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:30 am until time of service at the funeral home.
