She was born Dec. 8, 1943, in La Plata, Md., to the late Reginald E. and Mary M. Rawlings.
Mrs. Rose worked 37 years for the U.S. Navy Naval Air Systems Command and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains. She also volunteered for the Fauquier Hospital Auxiliary, Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board Money Management Program and the Warrenton Senior Center.
Her husband, William R. Rose, and her grandson, Jeremy, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Janna Rose of Oregon, Wis., Cheryl Rose and Lisa Young of Newport News, Ann Hadsell of South Riding, Kimberly Bealle of Sperryville and William Rose II of Gainesville; her sisters, Mary Bowling of Fredericksburg, Judy Snider of La Plata, Md., and Delores Dial of Marion, Ill., and her grandchildren, Justin, Nick, Hunter, Brandon, Thomas, Reed, Dylan, Haley, Angeline and Will.
The funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, at Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains. Interment will be in Little Georgetown Cemetery near Broad Run.
