Jennifer Lynn Evans, 27, of St. Albans, formerly of Gauley Bridge, was tragically taken from us on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015.

She was born in Charleston on Oct. 15, 1987 to Leora Pritt-McCoy and David Pritt. Jennifer grew up in St. Albans and graduated from St. Albans High School in 2005. She went on to study at West Virginia University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in psychology. Jennifer was employed as a service coordinator at REM, however she went above and beyond the duties of her job to act as an advocate and volunteer for youth and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Jennifer had a love for cooking and baking, and happily provided delicious treats for all family and friends on a regular basis. Even more than her love for cooking, was the passion she had for being a loving wife and mother to her husband, Michael Dustin Evans, and two sons, Jordy and Aiden. Jennifer and Michael were married on Oct. 22, 2011; together, they had a son who was born in November 2013. Jennifer was a natural when it came to mothering the love of her life; she showed unconditional love every second of every day. Jennifer was an absolute joy to be around and her smile would light up a room.

She leaves behind her loving companion, Michael Dustin Evans; sons, Jordy and Aiden Evans; parents, Leora McCoy and Charlie McCoy, David and Tammy Pritt; brothers, Mark and his wife, Ashley Pritt, and Chaz McCoy; sisters, Megan Pritt, Alexandra Martin and Ella McCoy; grandparents, William Kincaid and wife, Sybil, (late) Shirley Kincaid, Bertha (late Delmas) Pritt, Herb Adkins and Edra Driggs; loving father figure, Larry Driggs; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Scott and Tina Adkins. She also leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and special friends.

A celebration of Jennifer's life will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B St., St. Albans with the Rev. Jason Hogsett officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Jordy Evans Fund, c/o Leora McCoy, KEMBA Charleston Federal Credit Union, 1830 Roxalana Road, Dunbar, WV 25064.
