He was born on September 19, 1958 in Colorado Springs, CO to Sgt. Clyde Harmon and Mary. He was a resident of Panama City for 46 years, and was a graduate of Rutherford High School class of 1976. Randy loved to fish and hunt, and had many memories of his adventures. For many years, Randy worked as a renowned crane operator on the road. Most recently, he was employed at Eastern Shipbuilding Group as a Certified Crane Operator Instructor. Randy was a spiritual man devoted to his family, and was a loyal friend to many.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Retired MSgt. Clyde Dale Harmon.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved, longtime soul mate, Brenda K. Powers; mother, Mary Evelyn Carr Harmon; three daughters, Melanie Harmon Pennington (Allen), Tracey L. Harmon and Jennifer N. Powers; two sons, Jason A. Harmon and William L. Powers (Jamie); eight grandchildren, Mackenzie, Ethan, Natalie, Conner, Dylan, Madison, Timmy and Levi; sister, Vickie L. Peavy (Don); two brothers, Skip Harmon (Sherry) and Kelly D. Harmon (Debra); beloved dog, Trouble; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will begin at 6:00 P.M., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Life and Praise Assembly of God, 615 N. Tyndall Pkwy, with Buddy Caswell officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:30 P.M. prior to the service. Contributions may be made to the in memory of Randy.
