Marian Hurd Simons passed away March 15, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Marian Hurd Simons was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Walter Clarence and Kate Erskine Hurd on May 19, 1914. She was educated in public schools and obtained a B.A. degree from the University of Utah. She was a 50-year member of Phi Mu Fraternity, a college sorority. Former member of Daughters of the Nile and The Ladies Literary Club, past president of DeMolay Mothers' Club and Phi Mu Alumna. Member of First Congregational Church and P.E.O. Sisterhood. Former Girl Scout and scout leader. Married Blaine Moler Simons on February 14, 1936.She is survived by her husband, two sons, Blaine Hurd Simons and Richard Hurd Simons, daughters-in-law Diane and Jean; four grandchildren, Tom, Eric, Ashley and Stacie Simons. Preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Collett Burningham and a brother, Melvin E. Hurd.

Memorial services will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, March 19, 1998 at First Congregational Church, 2150 Foothill Drive. Private family interment. Funeral directors, Evans & Early Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
