Reinhold Braun - Sedro Woolley, WA
Graveside service for Reinhold R. Braun, 84, will be at 1 p.m. today at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Kern Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, WA., is in charge of arrangements.
Born in Turtle Lake, N.D., Mr. Braun died Tuesday.
He joined the Army in 1942 and served in Vancouver, WA., Seattle and Alaska. He was discharged in 1946.
Mr. Braun married Martha Gottschall in 1947. They lived in Turtle Lake, where he was a farmer. In 1955, they moved to Spokane. He worked as a truck driver for Kaiser Aluminum for 27 years. He retired in 1983.
Mr. Braun moved to Western Washington in 1992 and lived in Tacoma. He moved to Sedro Woolley six years ago.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign War Post 1744 and the Spokane Eagles Lodge.
His wife died in 1967.
Survivors include two daughters, Penny Ramierz of Spokane and Sharon Garrett of Mount Vernon; six sons, Michael Braun of Cheney, Larry Braun of Summer, WA., Rickey Braun of Sea-Tac, WA., Eugene Braun of Trego, Mont., Joe Gottschall of California and Randy Braun of South Lake Tahoe, Nev.; a sister, Hilda Reiser of Oaks, N.D.; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association of the American Diabetes Association.
