18 DECEMBER, 1958! What a joyous day that was for Robert E. (Bobby) and Marlene C. Brown. At 11:35 pm they were blessed with their first child, a beautiful Baby Boy...it was important for him to arrive before 12:00 midnight because it was his Grandpa Clapp's birthday. He was given the family name of Benjamin Lee Brown. The Benjamin was from his maternal Grandpa (Arlando Benjamin Clapp) and Lee was from his paternal Grandpa (Clinton Lee Brown). Living on a farm, he acquired many of his daddy's attributes... fishing, hunting, animals, a love for the land. And a great love for machinery and FARMALL TRACTORS. His dislike of school was also 'a chip off the block', but he did make it through Chatham Central High School, Bear Creek, North Carolina. After completion of high school he set out to find his niche in the world. Chicken catching, NOPE, bulldozer operator, NOPE, Construction, NOPE (because he was hospitalize with Legionnaires disease, a lung disorder which robbed him of a good portion of his strength), Manager at Construction Equipment Parts in Gulf N.C. NOPE. It would have been a very suitable job for him since he liked to be around machinery ...but it was not to be. He injured his back and was no longer able to work there due to his disability. He and his family had cows and raised chickens and later turkeys with the family doing the work. He married Linda Stewart on January 18, 1986, at the groom's home. They were blessed with three children, Christy Reneé, Brandon Eugene and Aaron Nicholas. Christy was Bobby and Marlene's only granddaughter and she gave him the only grandson he saw, Jaxon Taylor Dixon, One of his most important jobs was teaching their boys to be 'Handy Men' and more...they are very proficient in tasks which need to be done. On 15 SEPTEMBER 2015, Lee was interred in Brush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Bear Creek, North Carolina. He had suffered 2 years and had died of lung cancer at age of 56.
